QUATTRO technology combines 4 features of the ski: construction, Rocker, Shape and IQ system. All QUATTRO skis are based on Blizzard’s Sandwich Sidewall IQ technology, in which key materials are expertly blended to give the skis the desired characteristics of control and stability. The size of the rocker is a basic parameter that affects the agility, control and behavior of a modern carving ski. The patented Blizzard IQ technology is a true connection between ski and binding. This ensures a superior feel, precision and stability of the skier. The Blizzard Quattro shape concept is available in a variety of cuts, ski widths and model sizes. Skiers can adapt their choice of skis to their own technique.
75% Side wall
Sidewall built into the ski construction has the following advantages:
Higher transfer of forces to the edges of the skis = holding the edges on icy terrain
Constant pressure on the edge along the entire length of the ski
Greater stability of the entire structure
Perfect control
Maximum carving performance
The “75% Sidewall” construction is mainly used for sports models of skis that suit skiers who do not reach racing speeds, but prefer driving at medium speeds. Partial 75% use of the phenolic side edge in the length of the ski achieves higher torsional strength, better damping and more accurate transfer of forces to the edge of the ski.
Dura-tec : Highly resistant structured surface against scratches that extends the life of the ski surface. Also ideal for rental skis. New metal protective tips protect the entire tip of the ski and extend its life.
The IQ system is the first and only binding system that forms a homogeneous unit between ski and binding. The binding rail is part of the ski construction, it is not additionally glued or screwed into the ski. The advantage for skiers is the lower weight of the set. The binding is always mounted on the ski with only one central screw, which ensures smooth deflection of the ski, direct and precise transfer of forces to the edge.
